Initial Consultation and Examination

Your Initial Consultation with one of our musculoskeletal experts includes a discussion about your health-related history, goals, concerns, expectations and potential treatment options. If we cannot help you, we will endeavor to refer you to someone else who can.

Next, you will be given a series of focused examinations including neurological, orthopedic, postural and other physical assessments. Our assessments will give us a better insight into your condition by examining for example, your bones, nerves, muscles and spine.

Please wear comfortable clothes and if you prefer to wear a gown, we will provide you with one.


Depending on your specific condition, we may request off-site imaging such as X-rays, CT scans and MRIs. These images help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you and, alert us of any fractures, tumors, infection and congenital anomalies. These pictures may also act as blueprints of your skeleton and will help us detect any abnormalities and accelerated degeneration.

If you have existing X-rays, CT scans, MRIs or other imaging relevant to your current condition, please bring these to your first visit.


At the conclusion of this initial consultation, you can choose to experience your first treatment. Most of our patients begin to see results from their initial treatment time with the use of soft tissue therapy, spinal adjustments or other physical therapy. Treatment is interactive and we will not perform any treatment without your consent.

Advice on home care is given including certain activities or positions to avoid, at home exercises and/or stretches, the use of ice/cold packs and the like.

Health Care Rebate and Payments

As members of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA), patients who have a Private Health Fund are able to claim benefits for any of our treatments as a Chiropractic treatment.

The HICAPS facility at the front desk enables Health Fund claims and payments to be processed at time of consultation. This means you effectively pay a gap between our consultation fees and your rebate amount. Your rebate amount depends upon your level of Private Health cover.

Please ensure you bring your Private Health Card with you for all appointments. It is usually difficult to make Health Fund claims retrospectively through our HICAPS facility for previous appointments. Retrospective claims may be made directly with your Private Health Fund.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, EFTPOS and cash. Unfortunately, we cannot accept AMEX card.
