Your First Visit
Your First Visit with one of our chiropractors includes a discussion about your health-related history, goals, concerns, expectations and potential treatment options. If we cannot help you, we’ll do our best to refer you to someone else who can.
Next, you will be given a series of focused examinations including neurological, orthopedic, postural and other physical assessments. Our assessments will give us a better insight into your condition by examining for example, your bones, nerves, muscles and spine.
We will then deliver our treatment and finally, discuss your treatment plan going forward. Our clients tend to see results immediately given our combined use of soft tissue therapy, spinal adjustments and other techniques. Treatment is interactive and only provided with your consent.
Advice on home care is given including certain activities or positions to avoid, at home exercises and/or stretches, the use of ice/cold packs and the like.
Please wear comfortable clothes and if you prefer to wear a gown, we will give you one.
Depending on your specific condition, we may request off-site imaging such as X-rays, CT scans and MRIs. These images help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you and, alert us of any fractures, tumors, infection and congenital anomalies. These pictures may also act as blueprints of your skeleton and will help us detect any abnormalities and accelerated degeneration.
If you have existing X-rays, CT scans, MRIs or other imaging relevant to your current condition, please bring these to your first visit.
Private Health Cover – Rebates and Payments
We accept private health cover claims from all funds.
All our treatments are covered under “Chiropractic” if you have “Extras” as part of your Private Health Cover.
The HICAPS facility at our front desk enables instant Health Fund Cover claims / rebates. Payments for our services are processed at the time of your consultation. This means you effectively pay a gap between our consultation fees and your rebate amount. Your rebate amount depends upon your level of Private Health Cover. Please call your health fund directly to ask about your rebate level as this is specific to your health insurance plan.
Please bring your Private Health Card with you to all appointments. It is usually difficult to make Health Fund claims retrospectively through our HICAPS facility for previous appointments. However, retrospective claims may be made directly with your Private Health Fund.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, EFTPOS and cash.
Unfortunately, we do not accept AMEX card.
New Patient Forms
If you have already booked your appointment, the next step is to fill out a New Patient Form. This is now conveniently available online. If you are unable to complete our online form, please arrive 10 minutes early to your appointment so you can complete this paperwork. These forms provide us with information about your injury, medical history and consent to treatment.
